Two checks for us on the 'Nice List'!

Helloooooo Everyblogger!

We apawlogize up front for the delayed Christmas post. We have been having so much fun with our loot this year, it's taken us some time to blog. So let us start out by saying, we for sure believe in Santa Paws! We are super happy we ended up on the 'Nice List'. (We were secretly thinking we might get stuck on the 'Naughty List' and only have yucky coal in our stockings.) But not us. No way. No sir. We are good boys! =) We had a fun long weekend of Christmas celebrating.

First was here at home.
Aunt V came over and we all exchanged gifts.
Check out our pile!

These all belong to us!
We could smell something pawfully delicious. We were circling the presents like they were our prey. Mom got us some holiday cookies. MMMMM!

Mom also got us something that had been
on Christmas Wish List for a while.

We were smelling and sniffing and tearing
through this wrapping paper to find out.

New collars and San Jose SHARKS TAGS!!!

Swisher is such a great big brother,
he even gave me a Christmas card.

Mom said Santa Paws came by in the middle of the night and dropped off a special gift for me and my brother. Mom also said they were very special presents and for us to take very good care of them.
Okay okay... what is it?!??!

SNOOPY AND WOODSTOCK!
Pawesome!
Mucho thanks Santa Paws!!

Next Aunt V gave us our gifts. Wow, more?!

For me? Aw shucks.

I got this under control.

::sniff sniff:: Is it more cookies?

Doesn't smell like cookies....hmm..

Nah not cookies, XMAS STUFFIES!

A Santa Claus stuffie for Swisher. And a Penguin stuffie for Oakley.

Stuffies weren't the only thing in the box from Aunt V.
She got us some pretty snazzy sweaters too.

Which I personally could have done with out the ridicule.
Thanks Aunt V.

We even got 2 presents from Mom's boss lady. Boss lady and family are super nice enough to let Mom take us to work with her everyday. So they love us. And we love them. Look at what they got us.

First one is called an IQube, 'Cage Cube' puzzle.

Swisher is not as into these things as much as I am, but I love puzzles. They're fun.

The idea is too get all the odd shaped items inside the cube, OUT of the cube. I'm one smart Boston. ;0)

2nd one was a Puzzle Pup.

The center is bone shaped, and then the entire body are made up of rings. The idea is to get the rings off the body.
I'll figure it out.

(Side note: Aunt V said we were looking mighty 'buff' in our sweaters. Sadly we had to take them off, and she's going to try and find different sizes. We're growing boys, what can we say. Bol.)

The following day, we left 'back home' to Fresno to visit Grandma and Grandpa and a whole lot of more family. We didn't take too many pictures over there, but got one of us at Grandma's house with this!!
Some Good Times dog toys. We sure did have a good time with these. They come with not 1, not 2, not even 3, but SEVEN fun dog toys. Including stuffies, ropes, squeakers... you name it!

We sure did have a wonderful Christmas. We hope all of you had a Happy Holiday. We want to wish everyone a Happy and safe New Year.

My PETicure

Hi Everyone!

It's me, Swisher, on the lappytop today. I wanted to share what happened to me the other night with you guys.

So the story goes it was late Friday night. Aunt V was here visiting and Oakley was buggin' to play catch for the last few minutes before it's bed time. My brother has energy for days. Me? It's midnight, I want to sleep. But I oblige. We chase the ball a bit. Aunt V holds Oak back (he's a ball hog), I run for the ball...I break fast on the carpet. Tug. OUCH. Limp once. Limp twice. Mom notices. Ut oh! It's my dew claw. Right away she realizes it's broken and calls the Emergency Vet number. They give us some tips. So Mom plays Nurse. She's got this handy dandy Pet First Aid Kit. She grabbed some gauze and wrapped me up.

But I was messing with it too much. Luckily Mom had these pet socks. It was one of those "I don't know if we need them, or if they'll use them, but what the heck, they're adorable" purchases.

I wasn't really feelin' the whole 'Michael-Jackson-one-glove' look, but oh well. It took a little getting used to so I could walk comfortably.

Please, no pictures right now.

I thought I was good. I told Mom I felt fine. Imma tough guy. I've been through worse. Didn't hurt anymore. We got this sock cast under control. Time for some Zzz's. But no. Mom was worried. Then came those 5 awful words... "We're going to the Vet."

The Vet?????? AAAAAAGGGGGHHHH NOOOOOOOO!!!
I don't like the Vet. I mean, don't get me wrong, the Vet serves a good purpose. When I'm sick, the Doc will give me feel good meds. When I decided on a life style change to become a Pirate (one-eye), the Doc fixed me up good. But other than that, eh.. I can do without. You hear strange noises coming from the back, mine included, and no one has a good time. There's definitely nothing sexy about possibly finding a gal pal you fancy at the Vet's office with your tail between your legs. Who wants that? In fact, the best thing about the Vet, is leaving!

But Mom wasn't having it. She said it was a must. So we went the next morning. Just as I thought. It was NOT fun. Doc said my dew claw needed a clipping. I won't go into detail how I squealed like a baby piggy. No I won't. But it's over and done with now. Thank DOG! I think from my lovely serenade they might have confused me, because somehow I got wrapped up with some very pretty pink bandages. Bol.

Fast forward to today, it has been an easy recovery. Mom said Merry early Xmas to me because my one nail PETicure cost her 45 wonderful dollars. For $45 she could have gotten her nails and toes done! Bol. Oops. And since I gave her a little scare.. my brother and I had to endure a little pet photography payback. Oh just great.

Preview to what's to come.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week. Take care of yourselves out there friends.

Lots of Licks,
Swisher

Never Too Late To Give Thanks

Hey all yous out there in Blog-land... It's me, Oakley. How's everyone doing? I hope you guys are all well. My brother and I are doing great. Hope everybody had a wonderful holiday. We sure are stuffed from all those Thanksgiving leftovers.

Mom recently had an interesting trip out to one of our local pharmacy stores and left with quite the deal. We thought it was blog worthy to share with you. Mom has been on a mission to find us Sock Monkeys. Not that we don't already have enough toys (as you'll see later..), but who doesn't love a good Sock Monkey? Mom just happened to be inside the store, not meaning to seek out Sock Monkeys, but she did. No price was shown. She walked up to register, thought if they weren't too much, she'd buy us two. One for me, one for my brother. Cashier priced check it, rang up as 0.49cents. (No they were not on sale) '0.49 cents?!' Mom thought, no way! SOLD! So she got two. Thought the price was odd, but who cares? Great deal! Left the store. Should she go back? Should she just clear them of their entire stock? I mean, they're only 0.49cents! Oh alright. She goes back. Clears them out. Every last one. Later in her day, still baffled by the inexpensive toy, walks into the same store at a different location. Finds dog toys. Asks for price check. Rings up as $4.99! Ahhhh. THAT'S more like it. Mispriced just as she thought. Oh well. Good times for us! Look at what we got!!!

SOCK MONKEYS!!

All kinds of them!

We were so excited, we got to work right away!

Hey gimme that back!

Dear Almighty DOG in Dog Heaven,
Thank you for this gift that I'm about to receive.
I am truly Blessed.
Amen.

Ok so we're a little spoiled, but we're not selfish. Even though we loved all those Sock Monkeys, we knew the right thing was to share our good fortune with others. After all, it is a time of giving thanks. So we mailed some to my step dog-sister and step dog-mom (Swisher's birth family that lives with our Grandma), and a few others to some of our neighbors dogs.

There are many things we are grateful for this holiday aside from our family, friends and fur-iends. We're grateful for the little things too.

1.Like our toys and stuffies.

What? No I didn't empty the toy crate.

2. Mom's bed.

You can't see me.

3. Matching Pj's.

Even though we feel silly in them...

...they keep our tails warm at night.

4. The couch alllll to our selves.

5. And last but NOT least... the heater!

Mom says when the house starts to smell like bacon,
it's time to turn it off. Bol.

We know Thanksgiving has passed already, but it's never too late to give thanks right? So we wanted to say Thank You, from the botton of our lil' hearts, to all of you, thanks for being our blog fur-iends. We wuff you all.

Oakley and Swisher
