Park Adventures

The other day Mom had to work late. So Aunt V came over to walk us. But instead of walking us, she said for us to get into her car.

Us: Uh Aunt V, we gotta pee.
Aunt V: In a minute.
Us: How long is a minute?
Aunt V: 60 seconds.
Us: How long is 60 seconds?
Aunt V: Doesn't matter. We're here.

 Here? Here where?

A park is where. A human park. But doggies are allowed.
She said since we were home all day, she thought she would take us to a different spot to walk and do our business and get some fresh air.

There were all sorts of new smells. There were trees and bushes and grasses and leaves and trails and dirt...

...and even gopher holes.
I can see him! I wanna get him!

It's a really nice park. Lots of open area.

We went in the evening, so you could see the sun setting behind all the tall trees.

There's all sorts of things to do at this park. There's a baseball field. We were able to watch a softball practice going on.

There's a basketball court. And even a skate park. Now usually we bark like crazy when we see skateboarders. We try to run and attack them, but at the park, it was cool watching them do all sorts of tricks..... from afar.

But we liked to just run around. Not off leash, but Aunt V ran with us.

That was a fun walk, and we can't wait to go back. The best part is, it's only a block away from us. Now it's time to go home and wait for Mom.

August Chewy Review

Mom contacted our pal Chewy through peemail and helped us sign up for the august treat review.

A few days ago our package came.

What the sniff did we get this time?
 Smells like chicken.

Here Oak, let me get a wiff.
Sure does! How do we open this thing?

Aunt V helped us open it and we stuck our faces right in.
 Yum!

We stuck our tongues in the bag and we picked up like 3 or 4 treats at a time! Bol!

Then Aunt V said we were getting carried away, so she made us sit like 'normal' dogs and be good.
Where's the fun in that? Oh well, we got more treats.

Ok review part: We got the Nature's Variety Instinct Raw Boost Minis. Chicken formula freeze-dried recipe. They also come in duck flavor.

http://www.chewy.com/s/dog?query=Raw+Boost+Minis&dept=all

PROS:
  1. All natural, healthy, and pure raw ingredients.
  2. Grain free. No grain, no wheat, no soy, gluten free.
  3. Delicious
  4. Comes in its own resealable bag.
  5. They also have the same treats, for cats.

CONS:
  1. Price is a little high, but you pay for good quality.
  2. This is only a HALF-con; Minis are small, so they might be better to use as training treats. (2B. But mini means you could possibly get multiple at one time. Bol)

Thank you Chewy for the opportunity!

Lots of satisfied licks,
Swisher and Oakley

Happy 5th Birthday Oakley!

Today is my 5th birthday!

Yesterday we celebrated. And the only reason I don't look happy about it is because Mom is making me take a picture with this ridogulous hat. I really despise this hat. It's pretty famous. Mom saves it for us every year. I've only been able to dodge it a couple of times. But after the dreaded hat pic was taken, it was party time!

I pretty much did whatever I wanted to all day yesterday. It was pawesome.
See, Mom didn't even yell at me when I took out all my toys from the toy box.

Aunt V came over, and I asked if I could pawlease open my presents. Mom said yes.

First present is from Mom and Swisher. They gave me a card.

A glow in the dark, super cool looking, soccer ball. I love balls!

And a bird stuffie.
Oh I can't wait to tear him up! You have no idea what's in store for you Mister Birdman.

Mom also got me a Costco size box of peanut butter bone treats! These are some of my favorites!

Aunt V's present was next.

She also got me a card. Check out the dog on the cover. Bol.
I'm definitely more handsomer than that guy.

Aunt V got me this blue pig stuffie. Cool! Everytime you squeeze it, it snorts like a pig. Kinda sounds like my brother Swisher. Bol.

Omd and she got me two bacon flavored Chew'n bones. The blue one is for me. The green one is for Swisher.

And what's a birthday party around here without some PIZZA! Pizza treats! We haven't had these in a long time.

I couldn't wait to play with my new soccer ball. So while Mom said she was cooking us something special to eat, I kicked and chased and bit and licked my soccer ball to no end...

...while Swisher decided to love my new oinking pig in his bed.

Check out what Mom is making us in the kitchen!

Mini cheeseburgers. And Mac and Cheese!

Mom got our party plates out, and we dug in!

Omd I'm so stuffed. Peanut butter bones, pizza treats, mini cheeseburgers, mac and cheese, plus breakfast... all that is left to do is to take a giant nap.

Wow, turning 5 was pawesome! I had a great birthday. I can't wait until next year.

Lots of licks,
Oakley

Merrick All Stars

We follow Merrick Pet Care on twitter. During the baseball All Star Game, Merrick tweeted in honor of the game they're giving away cans of their Ballpark Bonanza food. If you tweet them a picture of your pup in All Star gear, you could win a can of their food. So we tweeted them a pic of us in our Oakland A's jersey's by Mom's Oakland A's pillow pet.

And guess what... we won something!

And we got more than just a can of food!

We got two cans of wet food: Ballpark Bonanza and Merrick'an Pie flavors. Two small bags of Merrick's dried food: Real Texas beef and sweet potato recipe. And two bandanas!

Check us out in our Join the Revolution bandanas!

That same morning Mom let us try the Merrick'an Pie recipe in our regular dry food.

It's made with chicken, red apples, carrots, cranberries, and blueberries! Mom likes it for us because it's grain free and made with real food for our sensitive stomachs and none of their ingredients are imported from China.
OMD! This is ridogulously delicious!

Thanks Merrick for sending us a great package!

Lots of licks,
Swisher and Oakley
