5am Wake Up Call

I'm no fan of waking up early. Mom is definitely not a fan of waking up early, especially not for the reason I gave her. I'll tell you why.

I sleep in a crate in Mom's room. The other day around 5am Mom heard me making a coughing-hacking noise and it woke her up. Being the concerned Mom she is, she got outta bed to make sure I was ok. She opened up my crate to let me out, and saw that I threw up on my blankets. While she was cleaning up my crate, she wasn't watching what I was doing. I think I was still half asleep when it happened. I mean, I don't really think I did it on purpose. But my butt had a mind of it's own and decided that it wanted to poop. Right there. Right then. And it wasn't- let's just say, as solid as usual. And it made quite the mess. And then Mom said some words that mean the exact same thing as to what I did on the carpet.

As half asleep as she was, she scurried to clean up all my mess. That meant busting out the shamPOOer at 5am also. I'm sure the neighbors appreciated that. Oh well.

We attempted to go back to sleep after that. Neither of us not sleeping very well. Mom was worried that I might be sick, and make another mess. And me, well look at me. There are no cushiony beds or warm blankets to be covered with. There was a single blanket just above the plastic flooring in my crate. I had to try and sleep in these horrid conditions. At least Mom threw my pillow pet back in.

I was confined to my crate for the rest of the morning, not as punishment, but as a precautionary measure. Just until we went to work with Mom later in the afternoon. After I ate breakfast and Mom walked us, I tried to tell her that I was fine. It was just a one time thing. A fluke. I didn't feel sick and I pawmised not to poop or puke again. Well at least not today anyway.

I mean if I was sick... could I do this? Look how fast I beat my brother back to the front step of our apartment!

Lots of licks,

Tuni Tuesday Tribute

We've been slacking with blogging lately, but we've been reading up on everyone's adventures out in blogville. We have some ideas for upcoming posts, but we wanted to start off with our tribute to Tuni who has crossed the rainbow bridge. Thanks to her good furiend Winston Wilbur everyone is pawticipating and we didn't want to miss out.

These are a couple of our favorite pictures of us snuggling in our comfy beds!

To you Tuni.

Lots of licks,
