Happy Howl-o-ween!

We would like to wish everydog and human a Happy Howl-o-ween. Can you tell what our costumes are?

Oakley is a prisoner. He's been naughty one too many times we guess.

Swisher is a doctor, he has to do surgery on all the stuffies that Oakley destroys. Mom also says he needs to make the big bucks to get his brother out on bail. BOL.

Oakley is not big on wearing the hat.

Someone get me outta here. I'll be good I promise.

Paging Dr. Swishie!

We hope everydoggy has a good and safe Howl-o-ween and gets yummy treats.

Pumpkins!

It's that time of year, Pumpkin time.....mmmm pie! Unfortunately this post isn't about pie though, it's about Halloween decorations. We don't understand humans and this whole pumpkin business but Mom seems to like it. Her and our Aunt V went and got some pumpkins, but we had to stay home. Mom said she wanted to take us but the pumpkin place had a sign that said no pets...how rude! Mom bought 3 pumpkins to decorate. She took the easy way out and got these things called 'Pumpkin Push-ins' because she suc...errr..isn't very good at carving.

These our Mom's pumpkins

After Mom finished her pumpkins she tried to get us to pose with them, but that was soooo not working out. This is us sort of posing with the weird looking pumpkins.

So where as our mom is not very creative our aunt V did a really good job with her pumpkin. She also showed her love for us doggies by putting a paw as one of the pumpkin's eyes.

What do you dogs think?

We think she did a good job, it is on our doorstep by moms pumpkins and we like to lick them and keep them clean, and pretend we are eating pumpkin pie.

On an un-pumpkin related note now that the World Series teams are set we had to find mom's Phillies hat. Go Phillies!

Wishin' everyone a great week.

One dog filled weekend

Mom woke us up bright and early Saturday morning, she had our sleeping bags and our backpack packed up. We had no idea where we were going. She said she was going to see the dogs play. What? Not us dogs....these dogs...

She went and saw the Fresno State Bulldogs play the San Jose Spartans. Fresno won 41-21!! Mom was happy and so were we.

Did we get to go to the game? NO! But we got to stay with our Grandma and Grandpa. They live near Fresno, we like to go there because besides us being spoiled Grandma's boys there are two more dogs to play with!

They are Penny (in the light blue) and Diamond (in the pink). They are Grandma's dogs and Swisher's Pug Mom and Pug Sister. In our family Grandma started the Pug craze. Grandpa got her Penny after Mom went away to college. A few years later Mom wanted her to have puppies so Mom could have a Pug too and that's where Swisher came from.

We have a great time there, we just play and play and play!

Mom went to visit some other dogs too but we didn't get to go there either. Our great-grandma has German Shepherds and her dog Adrienne just had puppies. 13 puppies! Can you imagine?!? One didn't survive but there are still 12 healthy little ones!

That's all for now, we hope everyone has a great week.

Mom's "That's Ridiculous" entry-

Hi everyone so this post is going to be our mom’s entry for Brutus’ contest. We don’t think anything mom does for us is ridiculous but not everyone agrees. We will let mom post now, hope everyone is doing well.

"That's Ridiculous"

1. Each entry should consist of two things: a photo (or photos) as well as a short story (a few sentences) to explain what it is that you do, and perhaps why you do it.

2. Your contest entry is a post on your blog. Please include our "That's Ridiculous" button and link to this post/our blog. It would be helpful (but not mandatory) to also post the button on your blog to help spread the word (it certainly can't hurt your chances of winning, wink, wink)! The more the merrier!! Oh, and if you don't have a blog, you can still play - just email your entry.

3. Once you have posted your entry, just let us know we need to come & get it! You may comment on our post to notify us, or if you would prefer (or don't have a blog), you can email the notice and/or the entry to hrnchardds@yahoo.com.

4. We will accept submissions until 12:00 EDT on Friday, October 16th. One entry per dog, please (for those of you with packs, each dog can have their own entry, or submit one entry as a group - humans' choice!).

Thanks boys, ok I do a lot for these little guys but I don’t think I really go overboard, well not much lol. If you ask my family they might disagree, they think everything I do is ridiculous. I usually don’t get much grief from people they all pretty much know how I feel about these little guys. But there is one thing I have been getting grief about lately so that is they only thing I could come up with for this post.

After reading all our blog buddies blogs I saw on Joe Stains blog that he has a dog sleeping bag. I thought it was the most adorable thing ever. He looks so cute and comfortable in it, I started looking on ebay to get my boys one. I told one of my friends that I was looking to get one for Oakley and I immediately started getting grief. First of all because we live on the Central Coast of California (near Monterey) so it never really gets extremely cold. Although I think it does get cold enough. She argued that they have tons of blankets, which they do, and that they didn’t really have use for a sleeping bag. She also argued that I couldn't just say I was getting it for Oakley, if I was getting one for him why not Swisher? I think I could find human size sleeping bags for cheaper than doggy one’s but that didn’t deter me either. So in the end, whether they needed them or not....

Oakley's Gotcha Day

Hi everyone, today is my gotcha day! One year ago today my mom picked me up from the breeder people.

Mom takes care of a young adult who has Autism, named Andy. Andy's parents are both doctors and sometimes they have to work a lot, therefore my mom has to work a lot sometimes. So they let her take Swisher and I to work with her, they love dogs but don't really have time for their own. They are the people who paid for me to live with mom. She weaseled her way into an early Christmas present. Two months early! This is one of the first pictures mom saw of me, the breeder people called me Eric. The rest of the pictures are from the first few days of being with my new family.

(Swish and I were Firefighters for Halloween last year.)

Mom says she doesn't remember life without me. Sometimes she says that when she's frustrated with me though. Bol. But I know she loves me so so so much. My brother Swisher loves me too, well most of the time. That last picture was him admiring me on my first day at my new home.

Hope everyone has a great week.

Putting our paws down!

Our mom has been super lazy when it comes to blogging the past couple days and we have had enough, we our putting our paws down. She should know that us and our friends should be up high on her priority list. We had a stern talk with her and she logged in for us to catch up on our friends blogs and to type a post.

Last week mom left us home for like a billion hours. We don't often get left alone that long because we get to go to work with mom everyday. It was her day off, and we were stuck home and we were very upset. When she got home we asked her where she went and she said she was doing something called supporting farts. What the heck? She never supports us when we fart, she always says things like ewww and gross. Hold on a sec....Ohhhh she said it was arts, not farts! Ooops our bad! She went up to San Francisco to see the musical Wicked.

She totally loved it and won't stop talking about it. She's even making us talk about it now! Sheesh! We've been listening to the soundtrack every time we drive some where. It got her in the mood to watch the movie the Wizard of Oz. Swisher totally loved the movie. He's a weird dog who attacks the TV when there are dogs barking on it, but some things he'll actually sit and watch like his favorite movie Eight Below. He loved the Scarecrow and the Tin Man. We are going to have to add The Wizard of Oz to his list of favorite movies.

We hope everyone is having a great week.
