Tuni Tuesday Tribute

We've been slacking with blogging lately, but we've been reading up on everyone's adventures out in blogville. We have some ideas for upcoming posts, but we wanted to start off with our tribute to Tuni who has crossed the rainbow bridge. Thanks to her good furiend Winston Wilbur everyone is pawticipating and we didn't want to miss out.

Oakley and Swisher

Dog park and HANK

Just recently we made a comment on a fellow blogger saying that there weren't any dog parks around our area. Low and behold, Mom found one this weekend. So we went on a little adventure to search for it. When we got there, it was pretty empty. Especially for being the weekend. It was separated into two parts. One for big dogs, and one for smaller dogs, like us.

We got to say Hi and meet some new friends.

 

 

There was so much room. Plenty to run around and play fetch.

 

Swisher was more of an explorer, and watched Oakley run everywhere.

This is us about to head out, but we can't wait to come back!

And Mom said we're gonna come back REAL soon. Something about getting Swisher in shape for the game at Dog Day at the Oakland A's coliseum.

We had a great weekend, but we also heard some sad news. Our buddy HANK crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Hank was always good for some laughs and we loved his outlook on life. This is one of our favorite pictures of him.

We got Mom to help us out. This one is for you Buddy! Cheers!

Duck Hike

This past weekend we had pretty nice weather. So Mom and Aunt V took us to feed the ducks for the first time and for a short hike afterward.   

We had never seen ducks this up close before. We thought they were funny looking. They were also making funny noises. Squacking and hissing at us!

 

Aunt V took us off leash to explore a little. And Swisher started chasing the ducks for hissing at him. Bol. I don't think they liked that very much. 

Swish didn't read that 'no water contact' sign before heading towards the water, so back on leash we went. 

I tried to tell them I was a friendly Boston and I wouldn't hurt them, and just wanted to hand them bread crumbs... but no luck. They kept their distance. 

Not all the ducks were unfriendly though. Cautiously some of them would come up pretty close to us...

 ...and a few of them ate right out of our hands. (Well Aunt V's hands. Bol.) 

 We followed the near by trails for a hike.

It was pretty warm out and Swisher was already out of breath from all the excitement from the ducks.

 Swish, there's a bench up ahead. C'mon dude you can make it.

We rested a bit and headed back to the car.

On our way back to the car, we came across this sign.

Don't feed the ducks? Ooooops. Bol.

Gift from my girl Coco

Just like my girl pawmised, my birthday packaged arrived.

She never fails with a hand made card.

 First out the box, 2 charms.

 Mr. Perfect, yup that's me! Hey it says 'Talk to the Paw'. 

Pawesome! Just like our blog!

 She also sent me 2 rubber star toys. 

A blue one and an orange one. Neat.

 Tasty. Bol.

::sniff sniff:: I smell a flea!

It's a flea stuffie! I'm going to enjoy getting some much needed revenge on this flea. For those times they get me!

Next was a Megalast Long Dog chew toy. Interesting. I've never had one of these before. It should be fun trying this out. I think I might keep this one away from Oakley. Bol.

 No present is ever without treats!

Sweet girl sent me a bag of Pork Chomps Mini Twist.

 I told Mom to open these right away!

Oakley wasn't sure about them at first. Just smelling them.

 But of course, like anything else, he doesn't want it until I have it. So I gave him the one I had, and started a new one. Bol. He's weird.

Coco, I added your card to all the other cards Mom and I got for our birthdays. You're very pretty sitting up there.

Thank you so much Coco for all the cool gifts. 

You made this dude feel extra special.

Happy Birthday/Mother's Day Mom

We all know this past Sunday was Mother's Day. But what most of you don't know is that it was also Mom's Birthday! Yup. Her birthday happened to land on the same day. So we needed to make sure the day was extra special for her. 

During the week, Mom and Aunt V went to have dinner at one of their favorite restaurants, Benihanas. They like that place because they cook right in front of you. We like that place because they make Mom wear a birthday hat, just like she always makes us. Bol.

Aunt V said they came and sang Happy Birthday to her in English and Japanese and got she got a free dessert. Yum!

We got Mom a Birthday and a Mother's day card. Can you guess which one is from Oakley and Me? 

We also got her balloons and gifts. 

On the weekend, Mom invited friends over and they had adult fun time that we weren't allowed too. We had to go in the room. But we didn't mind, since it was Mom's special day. 

...and they sang Happy Birthday to Mom.

Mom said she had a great Birthday/Mother's Day week and weekend. She's continuing to celebrate this week. Just because she can. She said we couldn't tell you how old she turned. All we know is that it's more than 30, and less than 32. Bol

Pizza. Presents. Cupcakes. Oh my!

Hey everyone!
So lemme tell you bout my birthday bash last Sunday...

Mom never disappoints. She knows what I love. And what I love is PIZZA! Yeah that's right. That's bacon on there, and loads of it!

 Because I'm worth it. Bol

Even though I turned 6, Mom said no birthday is without the dreaded birthday hat. Luckily Mom said I only had to wear it for the birthday singing. Aunt V bought me a birthday cookie and I made a wish. 

 

And then I licked the frosting.

OMD so good!

After I stuffed my face with pizza and birthday cookie, it was presents time. First from Mom.

 

I got a box of poop bags, (yeah not funny Mom) two stuffies, and a hoodie.  

I love this hoodie! They're from Zach and Zoey. Called 'Special Ops' hoodies. Pawesome!

 Mom got Oakley one too.

Next was presents from Aunt V. She bought me a card. 

That's right, I am a great nephew!

Treats! Yes!!!

These are bacon and cheese star cookies. First time trying them. Will be a regular in our home now, fur sure!

A little nerf football! Pawesome! Soft enough for me to grip.

Two Shapleez. I don't know what Shapleez are, but I'm PLEEZed either way. Bol

Red for me. Blue for Oakley.

This might sound kinda silly, but Aunt V bought us string cheese.

Cheese is a delicious snack. This was me sharing with Oakley. Bol he looks funny on his two back legs.

Last but, definitely not least, cupcakes!
