Happy 5th Birthday Oakley!

Today is my 5th birthday!

Yesterday we celebrated. And the only reason I don't look happy about it is because Mom is making me take a picture with this ridogulous hat. I really despise this hat. It's pretty famous. Mom saves it for us every year. I've only been able to dodge it a couple of times. But after the dreaded hat pic was taken, it was party time!

I pretty much did whatever I wanted to all day yesterday. It was pawesome.
See, Mom didn't even yell at me when I took out all my toys from the toy box.

Aunt V came over, and I asked if I could pawlease open my presents. Mom said yes.

First present is from Mom and Swisher. They gave me a card.

A glow in the dark, super cool looking, soccer ball. I love balls!

And a bird stuffie.
Oh I can't wait to tear him up! You have no idea what's in store for you Mister Birdman.

Mom also got me a Costco size box of peanut butter bone treats! These are some of my favorites!

Aunt V's present was next.

She also got me a card. Check out the dog on the cover. Bol.
I'm definitely more handsomer than that guy.

Aunt V got me this blue pig stuffie. Cool! Everytime you squeeze it, it snorts like a pig. Kinda sounds like my brother Swisher. Bol.

Omd and she got me two bacon flavored Chew'n bones. The blue one is for me. The green one is for Swisher.

And what's a birthday party around here without some PIZZA! Pizza treats! We haven't had these in a long time.

I couldn't wait to play with my new soccer ball. So while Mom said she was cooking us something special to eat, I kicked and chased and bit and licked my soccer ball to no end...

...while Swisher decided to love my new oinking pig in his bed.

Check out what Mom is making us in the kitchen!

Mini cheeseburgers. And Mac and Cheese!

Mom got our party plates out, and we dug in!

Omd I'm so stuffed. Peanut butter bones, pizza treats, mini cheeseburgers, mac and cheese, plus breakfast... all that is left to do is to take a giant nap.

Wow, turning 5 was pawesome! I had a great birthday. I can't wait until next year.

Lots of licks,
Oakley

Merrick All Stars

We follow Merrick Pet Care on twitter. During the baseball All Star Game, Merrick tweeted in honor of the game they're giving away cans of their Ballpark Bonanza food. If you tweet them a picture of your pup in All Star gear, you could win a can of their food. So we tweeted them a pic of us in our Oakland A's jersey's by Mom's Oakland A's pillow pet.

And guess what... we won something!

And we got more than just a can of food!

We got two cans of wet food: Ballpark Bonanza and Merrick'an Pie flavors. Two small bags of Merrick's dried food: Real Texas beef and sweet potato recipe. And two bandanas!

Check us out in our Join the Revolution bandanas!

That same morning Mom let us try the Merrick'an Pie recipe in our regular dry food.

It's made with chicken, red apples, carrots, cranberries, and blueberries! Mom likes it for us because it's grain free and made with real food for our sensitive stomachs and none of their ingredients are imported from China.
OMD! This is ridogulously delicious!

Thanks Merrick for sending us a great package!

Lots of licks,
Swisher and Oakley

Chewy Product Review #2

Hey Everyblogger,

If you remember, in June, we did a product review of some treats for the famous Chewy man. Chewy emailed us asking if we wanted to pawticipate in another product review. We said of course!

We received a bag of Orijen Original Freeze Dried Dog Treats.
This flavor is made with chicken, turkey, egg, and fish.

And the test....

 ...and the verdict...

 Winners!

Now let's break it down...

Pros:
1. Delicious
2. Made with all meat. No fillers. No artificial flavors. No preservatives.
3. Made in Canada with fresh regional ingredients.
4. They come in an assortment of flavors: lamb, boar, beef, duck...just to name a few.
5  Perfect size.

Cons:
1. A little on the pricey size. $7.99 for a 2oz. bag. (BUT, you get what you pay for. Good quality treats. So this is more like a HALF-con. Bol.)
2. Our co-editor in chief recently got a new job, and we couldn't blog any sooner. We are currently accepting applications. Bol.

Thank you Chewy for giving us the opportunity. We have enjoyed all your products thus far.

Lots of licks,
Swisher and Oakley

Bark Box #3

Our third and final Bark Box came. Alright let's see what sort of things this bad boy has.

It all smells tasty.

First out of the box, we got some Puptato Chips. Sweet potato flavor. We love sweet potato fries and we love potato chips. These are right up our alley!

What's some chips without some... BEER! Some Bowser Beer. Beef flavor, and non alcoholic of course. This is different. We've never had anything like this before.

 Some Calm K9 nutri-waffers.
Calm? Ok that must mean these are for Swisher right Mom? -Oak

Side note: Later Mom tried to give Swisher a waffer, and he musta been able to smell or taste the medicine, so he spit it out. So Mom got sneaky and put peanut butter on it, and he ate it right up. Swisher slept like a rock that night. Bol.

We also got some Tail Mix. Don't worry, it's not a bag of tails. They're actually grilled sirloin burger treats! Yes. You read right. Burgers! Who ever came up with making burgers as treats is a GENIUS!

Check out this big huge bone we got. It's called Butchers Block Bone, The Champ. Because only dogs who have champion like tongue skills can tear up this bone.

We went outside to try some because Mom didn't want us making a mess in the house.

Apparently we don't have such champion like licking skills as we thought. Bol. Aunt V decided to help us hold it so we could get all the yummy goodness inside.

 We took turns.
Swisher was all about the inside, he forgot how tasty the outside is too. Taste like BBQ.

Aunt V brought out the dog beer for us to try, but we were too busy to notice and kept licking the ground for left over Butchers Bone...

...but as soon as she started to pour it, we were all about it. Swisher didn't even wait until it was in the bowl. He was drinking it straight out of the bottle like a beer fountain.
 Ahhhh. Refreshing!

I licked until the last drop. That was so good. Even though the bottle says we can use it on top of our dry food for flavor..I think I can drink that whole bottle by itself.

Oak: Where can I get a 6 pack of this stuff? Do they sell this at the lick-or store?

Swish: No. They don't. That's for humans only.

Oak: I think I'm feeling warm and fuzzy.

Swish: Relax, there isn't any alcohol in it.

We had fun getting these Bark Boxes in the mail. We always liked to see what cool toys and yummy treats they have inside. We hope Mom places another order soon. Maybe I can ask in August for my birthday.

Lots of licks,
Oakley... and Swisher

Chewy Product Review

Hey everyblogger,

We wanted to share something cool with you guys. We know most of you are aware of who Chewy is and all about his yummy goodies. Earlier in the month Chewy contacted us via PeeMail email, asking us if we would be interested in pawticipating in a product review for the month of June.

Chewy said he would send out some free products in exchange for an honest review. Did someone say free treats? We were totally in! Mom helped us email him back and said we would love to. They gave us the option of trying either Orijen Freeze Dried Dog Treats or Fromm Grain Free Dog Biscuits and gave us different flavors to choose from.

A couple days ago, guess what showed up at our house?

We like this receiving of treats in the mail!

Swisher knows the deal. Head first into the package!

Chewy sent us the Fromm Four-Star Oven Roasted Chicken with Carrots and Peas Recipe.

http://www.chewy.com/s/fromm,Form_facet:Treats

Now honestly, sometimes we can be Treat Snobs. We'll take a few sniffs and if they aren't tempting, we won't budge. That was not the case with these treats. They were delicious until the last crumb.

Mom liked them for us too because we have allergies and these are grain free, contain free range chicken, and if we were purchasing them, they were affordable. (These particular treats also come in lamb, salmon, and parmesan cheese flavor).

We don't know about all that, we just know we liked them, they're perfect treat size and we want more!

Thank you Chewy for giving us the opportunity to pawticipate in your product review. We've ordered from you in the past. And if all you're treats are this great, we will continue to do so.

Lots of satisfied licks,
Swisher and Oakley

Bark Box #2

We mentioned in our last post that Mom signed us up for 3 Bark Box deliveries, and we got our first one right before Swisher's birthday last month. Well our second bark box came!

We know how this works, so we dove right in!

It came with two bags of treats. Some Grill-icious beef treats.

And some Green Juice treats. They're made of spinach, kale, apples, and mint. Haven't had any of these before, but we're always down to try new treats.

Also came with a treat ball.

Mom stuck a treat in it and we tried to get it out, but it was kinda tough.
Our treats were too big. So next time she said she's gonna put some peanut butter in there!

There was also this giant dinosaur bone. Ok, maybe not a dinosaur bone. The label says it's a smoked pig femur bone. Pig = bacon right? So this thing must be delicious! But Mom said it's gonna be too messy for in the house, so we can try it at work in the courtyard.

We are loving our Bark Boxes. This is only our second box and we can't wait for the next one. Hopefully Mom will sign us up for more boxes. They're pawesome!

If any of you fur pals are interested in signing up for Bark Boxes, you can click on the link below. By us referring you, you can save $5 on your first subscription!

Mom said in the box there was this little joke card.

So wait... the moon isn't made of cheese?

Lots of licks,
Swisher and Oakley
